Position Overview: The maintenance team plays a vital role in maintaining safe, functional, and well-kept facilities that support student learning. This position performs a variety of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties across the district's buildings and properties.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of construction, general maintenance, and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Ability to diagnose and repair facility-related issues.
- Commitment to professional appearance and personal hygiene.
- Willingness to complete ongoing training and professional development.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid bus driving license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Inspect and perform minor repairs on alarm and safety systems.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Service heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and exhaust systems.
- Adjust and balance airflow through VAV boxes and ductwork.
- Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment.
- Repair and maintain furniture and fixtures.
- Perform grounds maintenance, including mowing, planting, pruning, and spraying.
- Remove snow and ensure safe access to sidewalks and parking areas.
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
- Regular use of tools and equipment requiring hand strength.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 90 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to push and pull equipment such as tables, scaffolds, and compressors.
- Visual ability, including close vision, depth perception, and focus.
Work Environment:
- Work performed indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to mechanical equipment and occasional chemical use.
- Independent and team-based work.
- Occasional extended or irregular hours.
- Moderate to occasionally high noise levels.
Compensation and Terms:
- 12-month position

Salary: Based on experience and certifications, range of $17.50-$25.75.
Evaluation: Performance is evaluated annually in accordance with the Board of Education policies for classified staff.
