JOB OVERVIEW: The Kingston K-14 School District is looking for an outstanding individual to fill a teaching/behavioral/ISS position for Primary/Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
The ideal candidate:
- Must hold Missouri Teaching Certificate in Elementary
- Demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and energy,
- Be capable of working as part of a grade-level and building team,
- Be willing to work hard to help increase academic and behavioral achievement, 5. Is a self-starter and creative.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guides and supports students as necessary to maintain a safe environment, with a focus on Zones of Regulation.
- Assists with de-escalating student behaviors and reintegration back into the classroom. ? Work with students who have been assigned ISS to provide academic and behavioral support. ? Other duties as assigned.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation.
- Implement behavior strategies to support students.
- Provides for his or her professional growth through an ongoing program of reading, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced coursework at institutions of higher learning. ? Build relationships with students.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work with students with a wide range of abilities.
- Ability to track student data while providing resources to meet individual needs. ? Assists students in dealing with conflict, expressing themselves in appropriate ways, and improving their behavior with an emphasis on successful reintegration.
- Be able to work one-on-one and with groups of students.
